HVRP provides services that assist veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Our program helps them reintegrate into their communities and find meaningful employment. We provide veterans with the tools they need to gain new skill sets such as financial literacy, computer training, job search training, and interview guidance. Veterans learn skills to retain employment and become financially independent. Helped funded by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The Independent Living Program (ILP) helps youth who are, or were, in foster care to become self-sufficient adults. It gives an opportunity to learn valuable skills necessary to make a successful transition from state or tribal custody to living on your own in the community.

The Commission for the Blind has the following program objectives in service to our mission: Helping Oregonians who are blind get and keep jobs that allow them to support themselves and their families, supporting Oregon businesses in hiring and retaining qualified job seekers who are blind in their workforce, supporting youth who are blind in the transition from high school into a career path/employment, training Oregonians in the alternative skills related to blindness such as adaptive technology, white cane travel, braille and activities of daily living, helping seniors and individuals with vision loss who are unable to work live with the highest levels of independence and self-sufficiency so that they can remain independent in their homes and active in their communities, licensing and supporting business owners who operate food service and vending operations in public buildings and facilities throughout the state;

Providing clear communication and simple phone connections between people who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard-of-hearing, speech-disabled, or hearing.

RISE provides services for people with disabilities including residential settings, day programs, employment assistance, managed care, and home and community based services. RISE also provides services for children and families through foster care and professional parenting, adoption, kinship care, after school and summer programs, behavior supports, and mental health services. In addition, RISE provides Early Intervention services which includes Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Physical Therapy and Developmental Specialists.

DHS Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) assists individuals with disabilities to get and keep a job that matches their skills, interests and abilities. VR staff work in partnership with the community and businesses to provide services that are individualized to help each eligible person receive services that are essential to their employment success. The Work Incentives Network (WIN) is a free benefits and work incentives counseling program provided by the Department of Human Services with administration and technical assistance housed with the Vocational Rehabilitation program.
