UCP Oregon began in 1955 by supporting adults who experienced cerebral palsy. But today we do so much more than that! We assist adults and kids of all ages, who experience all kinds of developmental disabilities.

Umpqua Training & Employment, Inc. (UT&E) is a 501(c)3non-profit organization, founded in 1975, that pursues and invests resources to improve the quality of the workforce in Douglas County. We provide programs and services that help people get the skills, training and education they need to go to work or to advance in their careers. Our partners include employers, labor groups, government, community colleges, high schools, community-based and economic development organizations.

Our highly trained and caring staff provides services crisis services and individualized case planning and management; also includes management subcontracts with New Day Enterprises and Rise, Inc. for vocational and residential programs.

A range of supports and services are available through the Accessible Education Center to eligible students who encounter barriers to full access or participation in the physical, curricular, or informational environments within the university. These include academic accommodations, including exam adjustments, sign language interpretation, classroom relocation, and adaptive technology. In addition, support with academic planning and problem solving is available, as well as assistance with time management and organizational strategies. Several educational groups are also offered each year during fall, winter, and spring terms. The UO strives for a more inclusive learning environment for all students with the goal of reducing the need for individualized accommodations. We offer commuter service several times daily along the I-5 corridor with stops in Canyonville, Riddle, Tri-City, Myrtle Creek, Dillard, Winston, Wilbur and Sutherlin. We have located many Roseburg area stops near major retail outlets, social service offices, government offices and large employers. Commuter stops are found in centrally located, easily accessed areas of outlying communities.
