Providing individualized services such as free school supplies, clothing, mentorship, information and referrals, transportation assistance, and school fees to youth and their families in order to guarantee equal access to education.

The Independent Living Program is designed to help foster youth and homeless youth in Klamath and Lake Counties become self-sufficient and successfully transition. We hope to help all these youth improve their chances at becoming successful adult citizens.Youth are given encouragement and the support that they need to complete their high school diploma or general education diploma (GED). Youth are encouraged to enroll in college, vocational programs such as Job Corps, or become gainfully employed, and guided in the process to find a safe and stable place to live.

Integral Youth Services is a Faith-Based organization providing intervention services and lifestyle alternatives to at-risk youth and their families. Their services include temporary housing for homeless youth (Exodus House), Summer Lunch program which provides free lunches to children and youth, summer work programs for youth and counseling to help transition into adulthood.

We seek and distribute resources from State and Federal funding, private sector funding and donations to support local shelters and to provide a multitude of services to those in need.

We are the point of access to services and support for people in Klamath County. Participation in the program is voluntary. Our community is stronger when the diversity of all its members is supported.

Klamath Tribal Health & Family Services is a division of the Klamath Tribes and is responsible for providing healthcare services to the Native American population who reside in Klamath County. Any person living in Klamath County who is able to provide proof of their Native American heritage is eligible to receive healthcare services at The Klamath Tribes Wellness Center.

We have many people in our community that run into a short term financial crisis and may need food assistance once, normally to bridge the food gap until payday rolls around. Anybody can get one box and just sign for it and we may never see them again. We don't want to make people jump through hoops for one box. It's already humbling enough to ask. If a household is going to need ongoing help, due to a fixed income, low-income wages, terminal or chronic illness, loss of a job, etc., they come into our office after getting their initial food box. We have a client intake person available Monday through Friday from 11:00 to 3:30. Our client intake person sits down with each household and discusses their current situation and what's going on.

MENTOR Oregon Supported Living program offers assistance with independent living and provides opportunities to help people shape the direction of their lives.

NAMI provides support to families and individuals with mental illnesses.

The IYS Free Summer Lunch Program runs during the summer, from June through August, to provide a healthy USDA approved lunch when free school lunches are not available. Lunch sites are county-wide, with 30
total lunch service sites, 23 located in Klamath Falls and the remaining 7 in Beatty, Bly, Bonanza, Keno, Malin, Merrill and Sprague River.

The Summer Youth Employment program offers youth ages 14-21 paid employment for 8 week projects in the summer.

DHS Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) assists individuals with disabilities to get and keep a job that matches their skills, interests and abilities. VR staff work in partnership with the community and businesses to provide services that are individualized to help each eligible person receive services that are essential to their employment success. The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) provides federal grants to states for supplemental foods, health care referrals, and nutrition education for low-income pregnant, breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women, and to infants and children up to age five who are found to be at nutritional risk.
